GM and Peugeot-Citroen Create a Small Engines

General Motors announced a partnership with PSA Peugeot-Citroen to develop a new generation of small capacity engines. This is a revision of preliminary approval, develop a great car for the European market. 3 cylinders engine would be used on a small car with a capacity of 1.0 and 1.2 liters for the U.S. market.

Some manufacturers have introduced small engines, including Ford's EcoBoost (1.0 liters) for the Fiesta. While in Asia, a small engine was used by Nissan in March, Mitsubishi Mirage and Honda through Brio. In Japanese kei car with a 660 cc engine sales continue to grow.

Because there is development, GM has not released a model that will be using the machine. Reportedly the Chevrolet Spark and Sonic is the largest and most logical candidate.
